Problem

Vibration from a heavy wood chip and dust filtration unit propagated through the surrounding structure during operation.

 

Cause

The subsoil beneath the equipment foundation was uneven and contained voids, resulting in insufficient load transfer and dynamic instability.

Risk

  • Safety risks due to excessive vibration
  • Accelerated wear of equipment
  • Disruption to production processes

Solution

All zones beneath the equipment foundation were treated with high load-bearing geopolymer injected to a depth of 1.5 m.

The injections filled voids, compacted weak soil layers, and restored uniform support beneath the slab.

The solution required:

  • No excavation
  • No demolition
  • No dismantling of equipment
